Quilters

 FHPC's Quilting Group:

Pieceful Gathering Quilters

2nd Thursday of each month (no meetings in June, July or August)
FROM 2PM TO 8PM

 No experience necessary

Our objective is to make quilts to give to the hospital for people that are nearing the end of life. The quilts can bring a sense of comfort, hope and peace to the person and also to the survivors if their loved one does pass on. We plan to pray as a group over each finished quilt that it does just that.

We will have several stations set up and you can choose what you would like to do or learn how to do; design, cut, iron, sew by machine, tie the quilt, sew by hand, etc. Patty and I both have sewing friends that will be joining us to help teach anyone that wants to learn.

We are looking for donations of the following items that you might have at home and want to get rid of: cotton and flannel fabrics and quilt batting.  Please give Mary or Patty a call if you have something to donate

Feel free to call or e-mail me (Mary) if you have any questions.

Please RSVP to Mary if you can attend so that we can ensure that enough supplies and equipment are available for everyone. Of course you can come if you do not call – we would love to have you.

 Thanks so much.
Mary Klynstra and Patty Moyer

LATEST NEWS:

Summer is coming to an end so that means The Pieceful Gathering Quilters will be meeting again in Fellowship Hall. We gather once a month to make quilts to donate to Spectrum Hospital and we have also given a few of the quilts to church members.

Our meetings are always the second Thursday of the month, our first meeting this fall will be Thursday, September 9, from 2 to 8 PM. EVERYONE is welcome to join us, even if you do not know how to sew. There are many jobs to be done to make the quilts and we enjoy teaching you how to do any part of the process you would like to learn. You can come for an hour, or stay the entire time, whatever works best for your schedule.

So mark your calendar and join us for sewing and fellowship. Your friends are welcome to come too.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
