High School | 912
High School Ministry (MSM) is dedicated to creating a space for 9th-12th grade students to encounter Jesus on a real and personal level, where they build relationships with their fellow believers, and mobilize their faith for the advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven. We want to give them a community that is dedicated to helping them build up a foundation of belief in God, and connect each student with adults that love and care about them.
We have two main programs in which we work to help build our High Schoolers up:
LifeGroups and 912
Lifegroups were created to give small groups of students a personal mentor who meets with them on every Sunday of every month, excluding the first due to the Congregational Breakfast) following the service. During this time, our students are encouraged to share in the high's and low's of the week; to that the students and LifeGroup Leader can celebrate the wins in a students life, as well as comfort each other through the loses. In addition to this, the LifeGroup Leader will facilitate a discussion with the students about what is also being covered in the 912 programming. This allows the students to activly engage with the topics being taught and discussed in a large group setting, and help each other apply it to their lives in a personal way.
If you would like to get involved with one of our High School LifeGroups, please email Cory for more information.
912 gathers every week, during the school calendar year, on Sunday afternoons from 6:00 to 8:00PM for students in grade 9-12. These meetings are great time for students to connect with friends, get away from the stresses of school work, and dig into subject matters of faith together. A typical night will start of with snacks and small talk around the counter in the Core, then we might move into a large game or activitiy together, then move into a teaching time. Our lessons focus on living the way Christ want's us to, serving others, and building relationships with the people in our circles.
