Middle School | 678
Middle School Ministry (MSM) is dedicated to creating a space for 6th-8th grade students to discover an authentic faith, where they unpack what it means to follow Jesus. We want to give them a community that is dedicated to helping them build up a foundation of belief in God, and connect each student with adults that love and care about them.
We have two main programs in which we work to help build our middle schoolers up:
LifeGroups and 678
Lifegroups were created to give small groups of students a personal mentor who meets with them on every Sunday of every month, excluding the first due to the Congregational Breakfast) following the service. During this time, our students are encouraged to share in the high's and low's of the week; to that the students and LifeGroup Leader can celebrate the wins in a students life, as well as comfort each other through the loses. In addition to this, the LifeGroup Leader will facilitate a discussion with the students about what is also being covered in the 678 programming. This allows the students to activly engage with the topics being taught and discussed in a large group setting, and help each other apply it to their lives in a personal way.
If you would like to get involved with our Middle School LifeGroup, please email Cory for more information.
678 meets on a weekly basis, during the school calendar year, on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 6:00PM. These times are great for the whole group hangouts, games, activities, and large group teaching lessons. A typical night will start of with snacks and small talk around the counter in the Core. Then we might move into a large game or activitiy together, then move into a teaching time. Our lessons focus on sharing christ, obeying God, engaging the Bible, seeking after God, amd excersising our faith.
